By law, all installations of windows and doors in dwellings need to be registered with Local Authority Building Control (LABC). Most installers do this by registering with a government approved competent person scheme such as Assure, Certass or FENSA. These competent person schemes simply allow the installer to demonstrate that the installation meets the legal minimum requirements for your installation. However, there are other aspects to window and door installation that are important, for example, how an installer communicates with their customers, whether they have processes to progress orders efficiently, and how they look after your home whilst the installation is taking place.
To demonstrate the quality of our installations, Goldseal have joined the Bluesky Certification scheme for the installation of external windows, doors, conservatories and orangeries.
This scheme is voluntary and includes regular independent audits of our office processes and procedures, the training and competence of key staff, the procedures we use for installation and the workmanship on site. The certification also checks how we look after the property during installation.
Choosing an installer who is a member of the Bluesky Certification scheme means that you can have confidence that the company has been independently verified. More details of the Bluesky scheme can be found at www.blueskycert.com
